The Matala GHF-18000 is a high power, high flow, upright pump designed for high flow rate operation. Built for high head pressure, this pump ideal for various irrigation and water feature tasks, such as large fountains or tall waterfalls. Able to handle just about any job, ranging from irrigation to sump pits all the way to circulation in large water features. The GHF-18000 must be submerged at least 26 inches at all times, with adequate water flow to the pump, and needs at least 15 feet of head pressure to avoid cavitation and amp overload.
The GHF-18000 is a heavy duty workhorse. With its maximum flow rate of 18,000 gallons per hour, along with its maximum head height of 40 feet, this high power, 2 horsepower, direct drive pump can handle large water features and irrigation easily. This pump is able to handle solids up to 0.7 inches in diameter. Additionally, this pump includes a strainer with a 0.39 inch hole size and a 32 ft. power cord. This pump requires 230 volts, and has a maximum power usage of 1,500 Watts. Features built in thermal overload protection, which stops the pump should an overload occur and restarts automatically once the pump has cooled down. This pump is built to last and backed by a 2 year limited warranty.
