Matala's NT-4800 Niagara Top Flow Pump is heavy duty high capacity unit that doesn't sacrifice power for versatility. Ideal foruse in pond skimmers and potentially low water level applications. This upright pump is unique in that it does notrequire full submersion to maintain a safe operating temperature, capable of perfectly  normal operation in as little as 2" of water. The Matala NT-4800 has a durable stainless steel housing as well as a stainless steel intake screen for maximum protection.The powerful direct drive motor also features double mechanical seals and heavy duty ball bearings for maximum reliability. Theclog resistant vortex impeller design allows this pump to pass solids up to 3/8" diameter. The pump also features a thermal shut off sensor as an additional level of protection.
The NT-4800 is rated 1 HP and has a 4,830 gallon per hour max flow, with a 49.1 ft. maximum head pressure. The power cord is 19 ft.long and features a standard household 110-120 volt plug. The pump has a max amp draw of 5.2 amps and is rated @750 watts, whichcompared to other stainless direct drive pumps with similar pumping power is fairly energy efficient.
